What is the Community Cupboard® Food Bank and Clothes Closet?
The Community Cupboard® Food Bank as an outreach of The Old Gallery is focused on providing Allenspark area residents with a means to obtain quality food and personal items in an environment where all are welcome; personal privacy is respected; and financial disclosure is not requested.
The operation of Community Cupboard Food Bank is accomplished through the generous support of an all-volunteer network in the Allenspark community.
What We Do
Through the kind contributions of private individuals, businesses and charitable organizations; the Community Cupboard Food Bank provides Allenspark area residents with a valuable, free service.
As weather permits, distributions are held two times per month on the first and third Wednesday’s during the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
Food items vary week to week depending upon seasonal changes and availability.
- Non-perishable canned foods; Personal items
- Dairy products; Variety of dry goods
- Fresh vegetables;Fresh fruits
- Breads and pastries
The two monthly on-site distributions are held at in the newly renovated The Old Gallery (in the social kitchen area), 14863 Hwy 7 (Peak to Peak Highway), Allenspark, CO. The Community Cupboard Food Bank may also provide limited delivery service to those who otherwise might not be able to personally visit The Old Gallery during normal distribution times owing to physical infirmity, lack of transportation or conflict with work hours.
How You Can Help
In addition to the support from major area food distribution centers (e.g. Community Food Share, Crossroads Ministry, EFAA, Food Bank of Larimer County, Our Center), The Community Cupboard Food Bank is also very appreciative of your help.
By giving of your time and/or financial resources, you can make a difference in the lives of needy children, seniors and families in the Allenspark area.
VolunteeringAssistance is most needed during distribution days (1st and 3rd Wednesdays) to help with the set-up and organization of food; signage; restocking; and providing help for those who may require physical assistance. Even an hour (or two) is most appreciated.

Monetary donations are maintained in a TOG “restricted fund” and are utilized for: Grocery store shopping; Support of The Community Cupboard Food Bank operations that may include purchase of non-food items specifically used for food distribution (i.e. office supplies for signage, materials for shelf construction, refrigeration, etc.). Make checks payable to: The Old Gallery, PO Box 431, Allenspark, CO 80510. Write “Community Cupboard” on memo line. Donations are tax deductible.

Community Clothes Closet
The Community Clothes Closet is located on the second floor of The Old Gallery. If you have clothing or other household items to donate please call (303) 747-2906 or (303) 747-2089. The Clothes Closet is open during TOG business hours. And we can make it available during the Community Cupboard’s distribution hours (see above).
The Community Clothes Closet provides for a year-round resource for gently used clothes and some household items. These items are available at The Old Gallery (next to the fire station), 14863 Hwy 7 (Peak to Peak Highway), Allenspark, CO 80510.
