This hardy\, treeless ecosystem thrives in tough conditions\, but decades of hiking\, parking\, and foot traffic have left scars along popular trails like Trail Ridge Road and Old Fall River Road.\nCombined with the effects of a changing climate\, some areas need more than time to bounce back. That’s where restoration comes in! Over the past 20 years\, projects have planted tens of thousands of tundra plants\, spread topsoil\, and logged thousands of staff hours to bring these areas back to life. With careful planning\, ongoing monitoring\, and teamwork across disciplines\,\nwe’re keeping this fragile-yet-resilient ecosystem healthy for generations to enjoy. Are you interested in learning simple\, effective steps to keep your well-functioning and your water safe?\nBoulder County Public Health\, in coordination with CSU Extension and the Colorado School of Public Health\, invites you to a free workshop designed to help you better understand and care for your domestic well. Programming will include an educational presentation on the fundamentals of domestic well stewardship and management. You’ll receive practical resources on how to have your well water tested\, how to interpret your test results\, and where to find technical assistance. Opportunities for free well water testing will also be available for interested participants. Participants will learn how to identify potential risks to their well\, recognize early signs of water quality issues\, and take proactive steps to maintain a safe and reliable water supply.
